Good evening this is Len Skuggevik Superintendent of the Tuckahoe Common School District.

I’d like to start this message by stating that as of this call, there have been no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in faculty, staff, or students in our building.

However, due to this National Emergency, and out of an abundance of caution, school will be closed next week Monday, March 16th through Friday March 20th.

Monday will be a conference day for teachers and staff.

Further information will be communicated on Monday concerning the District plans to teach our students in an online blended format and to provide meals to students with free and reduced priced breakfast and lunch while our school is closed.

Any changes or additions to this information will be communicated via the k-12 alert system, news 12, WLNG and our website and multimedia formats.

We thank you for understanding and will continue to update you with information as we remain in communication and comply with guidance of the Suffolk County Department of Health and medical professionals.
