In recognition of Veterans Day, Tuckahoe students wrote notes and designed awards for local Veterans to thank them for their service to our country. Letters and awards were distributed to Tuckahoe family veterans Mr. Grisnik, Mr. Skuggevik, and Mr. Capalbo. Tuckahoe librarian, Ms. Verdeschi, also distributed these treasures at the Hand Aldrich 924 American Legion during the Veterans Day Ceremony in Hampton Bays. All the Veterans graciously expressed their appreciation for the students’ efforts. 1st Vice Commander Rick Robinson even responded with his own official letter of appreciation to the students of Tuckahoe School!
