Parrish Student Art Show (March 12 - April 18, 2021)

Students in Tuckahoe's art classes have been working hard on expressing their creativity, while learning new digital creative tools. This year we are so happy to be able to share a few artistic creations with our community through the Parrish Student Art Exhibit, up in the museum, March 12 - April 18, 2021. Our young artist at Tuckahoe school entered artwork created digitally and traditional, both individually and collaboratively. Our first and second graders created a mural inspired by our art history study of Piet Mondrian connected to our work with geometric shapes, primary colors, and maps of our local community. Our 3rd grades created a collaborative mural using Keith Haring and physical activity as inspiration. Our amazing middle school student created a mixture of traditional hands-on drawings and paintings and digital artwork. Both Aubrie Dimon and Matheus Faria got to share their graphite self-portrait drawings while Marin Gilmartin put us in awe of her ability to paint.  Finally, four amazingly talented young ladies in 8th grade, Sandy Campohermoso, Jamie Morales, Natalie Urbano, and Ashley Uruchima were able to try new digital tools to create beautiful digital mosaics. We couldn't be prouder of our young artist sharing their talents with our community along with their love of art and expression.
