If we are ALL counted, our East End community receives the money it needs for our schools, public health emergencies like COVID-19, child care centers, senior centers, public transportation, hospitals, clinics, and many other institutions and programs that benefit our families.
YOUR IMMIGRATION STATUS DOES NOT MATTER.
YOUR INFORMATION IS KEPT CONFIDENTIAL.
• Your answers are kept confidential: It is illegal for any employee of the Census Bureau to share your information with any government agency or with any individual. The information you put on the questionnaire is used only to produce statistics about the general population.

• You may fill out the census questionnaire in your preferred language using ONE of these methods:
 Online: https://my2020census.gov/. (Click on the language you prefer.)
 By telephone:  844-330-2020 (ENGLISH; many other languages are available.)
 By mail: If you receive the questionnaire by mail, you may fill it out and send it to the Census Bureau if you do not wish to do so online or by telephone.*

• The census is conducted every 10 years to count everyone living in the country.
• It is mandated by the Constitution of the United States and everyone’s participation is required.
• This count determines the amount of money that our communities receive from the federal government. If we are not all counted, we suffer the consequences for the next 10 years, until the next census.

Si TODOS SOMOS CONTADOS, nuestra comunidad recibe el dinero que necesita para nuestras escuelas, emergencias de salud pública como la del COVID-19, los centros de cuidado de niños, el transporte público, nuestros hospitales y clínicas y muchas otras instituciones y programas que benefician a nuestras familias.

SU ESTATUS MIGRATORIO NO IMPORTA.
SU INFORMACION ES CONFIDENCIAL.
• Sus respuestas se mantienen confidenciales: Es ilegal que un empleado de la Oficina del Censo de los EEUU comparta su información con ninguna agencia del gobierno o con otras personas. Los datos que Ud. pone en el cuestionario sólo se usan para producir estadísticas sobre la población en general.

• Ud. puede llenar el cuestionario en español usando UNO de estos modos:
 En línea: https://my2020census.gov/. Haga clic en “ESPAÑOL” al pie de la página.
 Por teléfono:  844-468-2020 (ESPAÑOL)
 Por correo: Si Ud. recibe el cuestionario por correo, puede llenarlo y enviarlo a la Oficina del Censo si prefiere no hacerlo en línea o por teléfono.*

• El censo se hace cada 10 años para contar a todas las personas que viven en el país.
• Es mandado por la Constitución de los Estados Unidos y la participación de todos es obligatoria.
• Este conteo determina la cantidad de dinero que llega a nuestras comunidades del gobierno federal. Si no todas las personas son contadas, sufrimos las consecuencias por 10 años, hasta el próximo censo.
