The Tuckahoe Common School District is committed to all students having access to a quality education this fall.  We acknowledge that the decision of whether to return to the school building or enroll in full-time remote learning is a personal decision for each Tuckahoe student and family.

Tuckahoe will offer the option for full-time remote learning for our K-8 students during the Fall Semester of 2020.  Each student will be assigned a weekly learning schedule, which may include virtual instruction through both live and pre-recorded sessions and independent work (to be submitted through Google Classroom).

In order to participate in remote learning, the Full-Time Remote Learning Registration Form must be completed for each student.  That means families with multiple children should complete one form for each child who will participate in remote learning.

The deadline to submit the form is 11:59PM on, Thursday, August 27,  2020.  This will allow the school to create remote schedules and assign your student to a virtual class.

To learn more about full-time remote learning, please consult The Tuckahoe Common School District Full Time Remote Learning Parent Guidance.

Submitting the Remote Learning Registration Form confirms that your student will not attend in-person classes for the first marking period of the 2020-2021 school year (September 8 - November 13).  Students can only return to in-person instruction at the beginning of each marking period.  Remote learning students who do not proactively opt back into in-person learning by October 23 will continue with remote learning for the second marking period as well, which extends through January 29, 2021.  The District will determine the need for spring semester remote learning at a later date, based on updated information from state and federal health agencies.

Technology:
All students who enroll in remote learning will receive a district-issued Microsoft Tablet.

Meal Service:
Students who participate in remote learning are still eligible for meal service from the Tuckahoe Common School District.  Meals will be available for pickup at the school between the hours of 8:30 am and 10:30 am.

We look forward to partnering with your family and remain committed to providing quality learning for all  students this fall.
