🎃 Tuckahoe School Halloween Parade Guide🎃

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Staff,

We are excited to invite parents and family members to attend the Tuckahoe School Halloween Parade! To ensure student safety and create a wonderful experience for everyone, please review the event details and procedures below. Thank you for your cooperation and support in enriching our students' lives.

Event Overview

  • When: Friday, October 30, 2025, from 2:05 PM – 2:15 PM

  • Where: The Bus Loop in front of the school

  • How: Each class PK-5 will circle the loop twice

Student Guidelines by Grade

  • Pre-K: Will march at 1:50 and will then be dismissed at 2:05.

  • Grades K-5: Will march in the parade.

  • Grades 6-8: May dress up in costumes matching the school dress code. Students will view the parade.

Costume & Candy Rules

  • No scary masks or clown costumes are permitted for any grade.

  • Keep costumes simple. Students must be able to dress themselves. Staff cannot help with makeup or face painting.

  • No candy. Please do not send candy to school.

Parent Safety & Event Procedures

  • Be prompt: Classes will not come back outside once they re-enter the building.

  • Viewing Area: Parents must stand in the flag pole / grass area in the center of the circle.

  • Stay outside: Parents must remain in the outdoor viewing area and may not enter the school building.

  • Class Photos: Photos will be taken inside the classrooms by teachers.

Dismissal Instructions

  • Normal Schedule: Dismissal will occur at the regular time-2:45PM. 

  • Do not pull students from the line: For safety reasons, parents must not take students off the parade line during the event. All students must return to their classrooms first to prepare for the end of the day.

  • Schedule Changes: If your child's dismissal routine is changing, you must submit a written note to the school by 12:00 PM.

If you do not wish for your child to participate in the parade, please contact their classroom teacher directly.
