Salsa Dancing

Dear Families,

Our school community successfully brought Hispanic Heritage Month to life this week through an amazing Salsa dancing lesson for our 2nd, 3rd, and 4th-grade students.

Partnering with the talented instructors from The Studio - Ballroom & Latin Dance located on Hill Street, our cafeteria was transformed into a space filled with rhythm, and energy. While visiting Tuckahoe School, the instructors expertly guided our students through the basics of Latin Salsa dancing. This hands-on program allowed our classes to truly immerse themselves in the vibrant world of Latin dance, capturing the spirit of music and culture while bringing incredible excitement to the floor.

Our 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders thoroughly enjoyed their fast-paced lesson. To cap off the high energy session, the students ended with the Cha Cha Slide, a true Tuckahoe School favorite!

As a wonderful gesture of community spirit, The Studio - Ballroom & Latin Dance, who offer dance lessons for all ages, has provided an exciting opportunity for our students to keep dancing.
